The source of descriptions and facts for most of the items pictured here are taken from my good and long time friend Fred J. Friedberg's book: "THE ILLINOIS WATCH, The Life And Times Of A Great American Watch Company". Published in 2004, the book is recognized as the authoritative reference on Illinois wristwatches. (Autographed books are available at the Museum, 65.00.)
Many of the pictures will be followed with Friedberg's initials and a page number from his book where the reader can reference interesting stories and detailed information on the viewed subject.
Photos of my collection are courtesy of Dr. Wesley Betsill, a long time friend from Springfield, Illinois who also provided many photos for Fred's book.
